Dear sir,
After completing the Arduino ACE 100 Labs up till the second to the Last Lab i.e up till Project - Bottle Filling System with the Arduino IDE, when I tried to complete the Arduino Cloud for Opta’s Lab, there is a procedure that says that we need to install the QSPIFormat to allow the Arduino Opta to organize the Arduino IDE Projects and the Arduino PLC IDE Projects in its storage, which I upload to Opta in the Trainer Kit. After uploading this file and did every other thing like choosing the COM Port, Opta is now blinking the RESET Light faster i.e more faster than the fading green light when the rest button is clicked twice. And the blinking RESET Light is now even brighter. Another source says that we should download the file unlockOptaNORFlash.cpp, change it to unlockOptaNORFlash.ino and upload it to Opta to unlock Opta’s Write access which I did. All of these steps are to no avail. I can upload the runtime to Opta using COM4, but the COM Port properties used to say that COM3, COM5, COM6, COM7, COM8, COM9 are in use when only One Arduino Opta is connected in the Opta container category of Device Manager. The PLC IDE also now used to hang after selecting COM4 and clicking on connect. All of these things happen on a clean install Windows 10 laptop PC with only Arduino IDE and Arduino PLC IDE installed. The Opta Trainer Kit was working very perfectly before the upload of the QSPIFormat sketch. Then, the Device Manager used to have COM4 and COM6 in its COM Port settings. I usually use COM4 to upload the runtime and I usually use COM6 as the Modbus Communications COM Port. This settings is no longer the case now.
On this same clean install Windows 10 laptop PC with PLC IDE 1.0.8, an external Opta Lite PLC, got its runtime uploaded, connected to the IDE and also says Source OK, Connected after uploading a Ladder diagram to this PLC. Sir, I have spend more that 10 hours when trying to solve this problem!!!
Please sir, what fast track method gets me back to creating my ladder diagrams and Function Block Diagrams and connecting to my Arduino Opta Trainer Kit without any further waste of time.
Olakunle Olafiranye.
