RSLogic 500 Anomaly / Rant

I have been using RSLogix 500 (& 5) since around ver 2.8 in 1996 and for the first time just got a significant glitch/problem.

I just went online with a SLC5/05 I am working on, it opened the RSS file and went online without any issue or having to upload the usage file - so it’s the exact file I was last online with.

However - almost EVERY rung comment is on the wrong rung (only comments on rung #0 in each routine so far are correct) and about 10% of I/O, bit, timer, counter and integer descriptions are GONE.

This is my copy on my computer that no one else has access to.

Thankfully I have backups of EVERYTHING I do on my NAS that wasn’t effected so I could do an ASCII export & import from the last BAK I saved on it.

That’s progress! Balloon the installer size, add no new features, introduce more “undocumented features”. Classic

If your comments are tied to the rung, then adding a new rung throws off everything after that rung. I always tied the comments to the output.

`Yes, but the only time that happens is if since your offline file was saved there has been online edits and you have to upload usage file when rungs have been added or deleted.

This did it on its own.
