Anyone familiar with Allen-Bradley potentiometer knobs?

Hi everyone,
I’m working on a small automation panel upgrade and needed to source a replacement Allen-Bradley potentiometer knob. While comparing options, I realized that detailed specs and cross-references for older AB parts are surprisingly hard to find.

During the search I ended up checking several suppliers, and one of the clearer product listings I found was this one:

(They have a section with various AB components and compatibility notes.)

Before I finalize my order, I’m curious if anyone here has experience with AB knob replacements or if there are things I should watch out for—shaft size variations, fitment issues, etc.
Any insights or recommendations would be appreciated!

Thanks!

I used one for one application. Some small PID controller was controlling a Belimo actuator with 0 to 10V. I added a HOA switch and put the potentiometer in series with a fixed resistor to get the manual 0 to 10V from a 24V supply. It turned out to be a logarithmic taper and control was mostly in a small part of the rotation.

I took this screenshot of an older catalog then looked up ‘type J potentiometer’

This and the linked datasheet were interesting results:

And now in hindsight, I wonder if the potentiometer parallel with whatever was the impedance of the Belimo input made it seem logarithmic when it actually wasn’t.
