Google Lawsuit Math

Google agreed to pay what now is just over $440 million with interest in a class action lawsuit about tracking Android users.

Just got emails on a few Gmail accounts about the lawyers filings

Lawyers just filed for:

33% Lawyer fees ($146,666,666]

$12.4 million expenses

$135 million for service for the 3 original plaintiffs

Estimated effected users are over 100 million people

My calculator app shows a result of $1.46 per person, but they say everyone gets $100 to their PayPal or Venmo account on record - but nothing about people like me that didn’t give Google my PayPal and never had Venmo

.

LOL… the Lawyers made the bucks

Remember the Checkers/Rally’s text messages suit?

With that settlement and the number of claimants I, and everyone else, after the lawyers fees should have gotten $1,200 each.

Because writing that many checks would be too much work the court said they could just send everyone a $10 coupon off their next order.

Coupons that could not be used (even a manager of one Checkers said she got one and could not use it.)

hey always do…Class action lawsuits pretty much only ever fill the pockets of the lawyers
